Simons Town Beach

Some African Penguin colonies are accessible to tourists but activities at these sites must be very strictly controlled in order not to disturb breeeding too much. The Boulders Beach colony in Simons Town near Cape Town are more used to people than other African Penguins. As a mainland site, it is open to threats that do not affect island breeding sites.
