Garron Point

These are rotational slump blocks of chalk overlain with Basalt at Garron Point in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. As these massive blocks have slipped down, probably during the Ice Ace over 10,000 years ago, they have rotated so that the bedding planes are no longer horizontal but are orientated landwards.
