Modernised traditional cottage

This house close to Malin in Inishowen, County Donegal, Ireland has been modernised tastefully. While the front facade is little altered, a slated return has been built behind the two storey section. The single storey thatched portion of the dwelling is likely to be the kitchen on which thatch was often retained, even if the rest of the dwelling had its roofing material changed.
