Belfast

The city of Belfast is surrounded by hills such as Cave Hill to the left of this photograph and Carnmoney Hill to the right. The centre of the city has, until recently, avoided high rise developments apparently because the gravel which underlies the city is unsuitable. The twin cranes of Sampson and Goliath make the city instantly recognisable.
