Demolished Mill

A linen mill is demolished in Ballymena, County Antrim, Northern Ireland. Once an important centre for textile manufacture, its steady decline has been a consequence of cheaper imported fabrics, economies of scale and a move towards artificial fabrics. All that remains of this industry now are a few placenames.
