East Strand

The East Strand of Portrush looking from the White Rocks. As these chalk cliffs peter out they are replaced with a dune system that has been widely changed by conversion to golf courses. The resort of Portrush is in the middle distance with the Inishowen Peninsula beyond. The Skerries, a small group of islands formed from a dolerite sill, can just be seem to the right of the picture.
